The PXP Association is a Winnipeg-based non-profit organization deeply dedicated to the principle of Radical Inclusion. We exist to reclaim public space for marginalized communities by hosting high-quality, barrier-free cultural events. Recognizing that access to arts, culture, and community connection is often gated by financial and social barriers, our organization works tirelessly to ensure that everyone has a safe place to celebrate and belong. We know that creating these dedicated safe spaces is just the beginning, as this vital work ripples outward to help build a safer, more equitable society for all.
Driven by a growing membership base and sustained by our strategic partnerships within the broader community ecosystem, the PXP Association operates with a unique level of financial resilience. This allows us to focus our energy on what truly matters: facilitating impactful social programming, organizing vibrant public festivals, and creating dedicated spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC, Indigenous, and newcomer communities. We are committed to leaving a positive, lasting impact in the communities we serve by championing unity, shared success, and equitable access to opportunities.
To reclaim public spaces and build a resilient, interconnected community by providing marginalized groups with barrier-free access to high-quality cultural celebrations, mentorship, and meaningful connection.
A vibrant Winnipeg defined by Radical Inclusion, where providing equitable access to safe public spaces fosters not just individual belonging but a safer, more connected society for everyone.
Radical Inclusion: We believe in equality and equitable access to opportunities. We actively reclaim public spaces to ensure marginalized communities experience true acceptance, not just tolerance. Our spaces are built on a foundation of unity and safety, and we recognize that establishing these secure environments actively contributes to a broader, safer society where every individual is welcomed and celebrated exactly as they are.
Truth and Reconciliation: Operating on Treaty 1 Territory, we are deeply committed to actionable reconciliation and respect for the land we gather on. We align our community efforts with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action #92 by prioritizing Indigenous partnerships and ensuring equitable representation and access within all of our cultural festivals and social programming.
Authentic Connection: We foster genuine relationships through mentorship and shared cultural experiences. We champion collaboration over competition, recognizing that our community is strongest when we work together. By building meaningful connections, we cultivate a resilient network of mutual support and accountability.
Celebration: We believe that joy, art, and cultural expression are fundamental rights that must be accessible to everyone. By hosting high-quality, barrier-free public events, we leave a positive impact on the communities we serve while passionately growing an environment of shared celebration and pride.
